Maintenance conditions

Maintenance during the warranty period

The warranty period starts from the date of shipment from amnimo. The warranty period and warranty details vary depending on the product.

Warranty period
  • Edge gateway (indoor) Main unit: 3 years
  • Optional products sold separately (AC adapter/antenna/metal fittings, etc.): 1 year
Maintenace during the warranty period
1. Hardware
  • In the event of a failure for which the customer is not responsible, the product will be replaced free of charge based on separately specified warranty conditions.
2. Gateway-equipped software
  • If the base Ubuntu is still within the support period, it is covered by the warranty. If the support period for the base Ubuntu ends during the warranty period, the warranty will continue until the original warranty period by updating the base Ubuntu to firmware that is within the support period.
  • Correction files for defects discovered by customers or our company will be provided for the latest firmware. Please understand that if you are having problems with your operation due to a firmware defect, in order to resolve the issue, you will need to update to the latest firmware that has been addressed.
  • Based on the above response policy, we recommend that if you continue to use the product, you always update it to the latest firmware using DMS, etc. (However, please note that if you are using a customized application, you will need to check compatibility when updating the firmware.)
  • Please note that support for Ubuntu, which is the base version, is no longer supported.
3. Third party product software

4. Subscription-based software service installed on the gateway
  • Please refer to the terms of service for each service.

Maintenance after the warranty period

1. Hardware
  • It is not covered by the maintenance warranty.
    *We may provide this service for a separate fee.
2. Gateway-equipped software
  • There is no charge for updating and using the latest firmware even after the warranty period has expired (excluding communication costs for downloading and labor costs for updating).
  • As long as Ubuntu, which is the base of the firmware, is within the support period, we will continue to provide security patches for OSS vulnerabilities.
  • If Ubuntu, which is the base of the firmware, is within the support period, you can use our DMS service, and in that case, you can update the firmware remotely using DMS. (If Ubuntu is no longer supported, connectivity to our DMS service is not guaranteed.)
  • Fixes for firmware defects will be implemented in the latest version of the firmware. If the firmware is not the latest version, no fixes will be made in that version, even if there are known defects.
  • When continuing to use the product, we recommend that you always update the firmware to the latest version using DMS, etc., even after the warranty period has ended. (However, please note that if you are using a customized application, you will need to check compatibility when updating the firmware.)
  • If the support period for Ubuntu, which is the base of the firmware, ends, maintenance support will no longer be provided.
